Little boy vanished from his home weeks ago and has not been seen or heard from since

The child vanished from his home seemingly without a single trace, and has still not been found.

Lucas Hernandez went missing from his Wichita, Kansas home on February 17, and local police have been searching for him with no luck since.

As reported by Inquisitr, the police have been investigating since his disappearance, and continue to search despite no evidence pointing to a potential location.

Leads and tips have been sent to the local authorities, and they diligently follow up each one in the search for the 5-year-old.

The well-known search and rescue group Texas Equusearch are also assisting in the search. They did briefly stop to investigate another missing person's case, but they are believed to be returning to continue looking for Hernandez as well.

Shortly after Hernandez's disappearance, police thoroughly searched a number of parks in the area to ensure he wasn't in one of them. The parks checked include Chapin, Chisholm, Cottonwood, Dr. Glen Dey, and Harrison.

They made use of divers, horses, canines, drones, and all-terrain vehicles to search the parks. Active park searches have since been suspended in Hernandez's case.

26-year-old Emily Glass, Hernandez's stepmother, was the person to report him missing at 6:15pm that evening. She stated that she had last seen him at 3pm in his bedroom before she had taken a shower and fallen asleep.

According to the police, an Amber Alert has not been issued for Hernandez, as there is currently no evidence of foul play involved in his disappearance.

Hernandez has been described as being approximately 4 feet tall, weighing 60 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, and was wearing a grey shirt with a bear on it the last time he was seen.

Glass has since been arrested for child endangerment, after she allegedly allowed her own 1-year-old daughter to be placed in a dangerous situation just a day before her stepson went missing. She remains in custody on a $50,000 bond.
